Infant Department

Infant Department Dr. Luke said “The wise man builds his house on the rock”. The Infant Department is the rock on which the primary department is built. The department has a current enrolment of one hundred and thirty-six (136) students; sixty (60) boys and seventy-six (76) girls, making two (2) classes for the four year old and two (2) classes for the five year old students. It consists of six (6) dedicated teachers, two (2) caregivers and a cleaner attendant.

The Infant Department staff is committed to the upliftment and total well-being of every child within our school. It is our goal that every child be healthy, strong and well adjusted. In addition, the children in our care must be effective communicators, critical thinkers and independent learners. Our department fosters an environment where respect is shown to everyone and every child understands the difference between acceptable and unacceptable behaviours.

The department boasts a student friendly environment with print-rich spacious classrooms that are conducive to learning. This contributes greatly to the outstanding performance of the students in both literacy and numeracy. In addition, there is overwhelming support of the parents and community members. It is not difficult to find the reason for the large population. It is indeed true that the Infant Department is the best in the west.
